Photo Shoot with Daddy

On Monday, Mommy had a lot to do around the apartment, so Daddy took T out to the nearby grassy area for a "photo shoot." Here are a few shots.

And, finally, T wondering what this thing next to him is(which he later proceeded to try and eat)

Meet The Three Amigos

Lately, T has been hanging out with 2 boys a lot who are close in age to him. Meet Ben (to the left). He's just about 2 weeks younger than T. Ben's mom is Tami and it just so happens that Tami's best friend and cousin is a girl that Mommy used to go to middle school with in Singapore. Small world. Also, meet William (in the center). He's 2 weeks older than T. William's mom is Cindy. We met them at a new parents' group at Day One.

The past few weeks T has been getting to play with "The Posse" a lot. We've started to see Ben on Tuesday at Day One's Baby Play group, have a play date with both boys on Wednesday, and we all go to Day One's parents' group on Thursday (which is where we met. Though, this is a 3-6 month group so we might be outgrowing it). Ben and William take swim lessons on Friday and if Mommy can just get her act together, T will get in on that too. With all this hanging out, I think the boys are going to end up being BFFs. =)

It's been fun watching the boys develop physically (I think when they first met none of them could sit up) and start showing personality. T happens to be the rowdy one right now. Daddy doesn't really like "rowdy" and says T's adventurous. =P This makes sense because he's the first one to crawl. He might end up being the dare-devil in the group. But, William, who we think might be the comedian of the bunch, is catching up. Yesterday (we went to My Gym where the above picture was taken) he started making movements in the crawling direction. Yea! I'm sure T can't wait to have the boys start crawling and exploring with him. =) And then there's Ben. He's the calm, thinker for the time being. We think he'll be the "reasoner" amongst the boys. =)

Here's a picture of T, the adventurer, trying to leap off the couch.

Thanks, Ben and William, for being fun playmates for T. We're looking forward to many more play dates and growing up together!!

Months 5, 6, 7

Yes, that's right, we have 3 months worth of "birthday" shots to share. Today, Tyler turned 7 months old. How quickly the months have gone by. It's still not easy trying to take a photo with him and a sign and I imagine that will not change. But, we'll keep on trying until the little kiddo turns 1.

5 months old (this was when he was really into grabbing his feet)

6 months old (can't sit still)

7 months old (giving us the "why do you keep doing this" look)

Physical Milestones

I'm not sure where the days have gone, but somehow it's been a long, long time since our last post. We really need to work on being on top of this. Right now, we have a post about our trip to Japan in the works(which was already over 2 months ago), but we wanted to share the physical milestone's that T has reached in these past couple of months before we forget. =)

So, for starters, our little guy is crawling. It's not perfect yet. We only saw him crawl on all fours for a few "steps" for the first time yesterday, but he started doing the army crawl a couple weeks after he turned 5 months and now does it with speed and perfection. There's no holding him back now. He needs CONSTANT supervision.

He can also sit, though he'd much rather be crawling. He learned to crawl before sitting.

T also recently learned to pull himself up. He's been trying to do this for awhile now, but he figured it out a week ago and now he's unstoppable. Today he even figured out how to stand in his crib (uh-oh).

And, finally, he can also crawl up stairs. He's not very fast at this yet, but if we had stairs in our place (the video was taken at Lolo and Lola's), I can only imagine how quickly he'd figure this one out. Warning - this is a long video.

There you have it. T is a handful now that he's mobile, but it's been fun watching the developments. Next up - walking?
