First Bloody Boo Boo

E thinks she can walk down steps without help. She's not quite ready yet. She fell and cut her upper lip (those teeth got in the way).

Kiki

Who or what is "Kiki"? That's the big question around here. T will randomly say, "Kiki" and when we ask him about it he says, "it's Japanese."

Hmmmm....

Tyler, by Norman Rockwell

Daddy saw this Norman Rockwell painting at the office and it made him think of T.

T is currently into football. He likes to tackle. It's a problem we are working on.

Believe Him

We didn't believe T when he said he was full at dinner. We coaxed him into eating his salmon by saying it was Nemo and joking about Nemo in his tummy. He then suddenly stood on his chair and started saying his tummy hurt. We didn't really believe him. He insisted and Daddy rubbed his tummy and observed it was pretty big. Then, it happened. T started to throw up. It was a continuous flow of vomit. Daddy tried to catch it in his hands but it was too much. T was fine when it was all out and we couldn't stop laughing. Lesson learned - trust your child.

Oh, and it just so happened that T decided he wanted to sit next to Daddy tonight. He usually sits next to Mommy. She still was the one that cleaned it up though.

First Love?

Last Tuesday, T met a girl named Alyssa at the park. They played together and she introduced him to her friends as, "my best friend Tyler."

Today, he went back to the park to find her. And he did. But she couldn't stay to play, she had to go to school. Tyler was sad and told Anna he wanted to go home.

He spoke of her all night before bed. He said he was sad and that he missed her and wanted to play at the park with her. He wouldn't stop talking about her.

Wonder if he is dreaming about her tonight. :)

Nature Walk

There is a trail a short drive from our house that we always see people going to on our way to the highway. We decided to take advantage of the amazing November weather and check it out. It's a nice, paved path with a beautiful view but we didn't get far because 1. T is a slow, easily distracted walker and 2. It was a downward hill and we didn't want to walk back up carrying T. But, we enjoyed it nonetheless and we saw a deer up close. Pretty cool. California is a nice place to live.

Do you see the deer?

"It's Japanese"

Whenever we don't understand something T is saying he says, "It's Japanese." Not quite sure what he means because its clearly not Japanese.

It seems her understands the language though since he gives appropriate responses in English to me, Obachama and Jiji, but he will only throw out words here and there. He also doesn't like it when he counts in English and I count in Japanese. He actually gets kind of mad. He does like Japanese songs though so there is hope.
