Emma's Firsts!

Yesterday was Emma's first day at Sora Japanese school. She's now starting her 3rd year there and will be in "tsuki" gumi (moon class).

She also earned her Level 1 ribbon at swimming on the same day!

She's growing up. 

First Lemonade Stand

The kids had their first lemonade stand with Ben and Tessa at their house this afternoon. T was quite the salesman - he's a go getter. E wasn't into it (yet).  But both kids say they had a blast and despite having competition down the street they each made a dollar at the end of the day. 

Swimming class, finally

Started both kids in swimming. Finally. It's about time Emma learns to swim and Tyler learns to be a better swimmer. 

Both kids seem to be enjoying it. They are in class at the same time (Emma in Level 1 and Tyler in Level 2) and like to say hi to each other. Hopefully by the time we go to Mexico in November they will be both strong enough to swim independently. 

Do you want to build a snowman?

Emma was playing by herself this afternoon and then came to tell me she had built a snowman. Pretty creative. 

T is 5!

Our big kid had his 5 year old appointment today. It's crazy to think that we now have a 5 year old. 

He measure in at 44 inches and weighed in at 43.8 lbs. which is apparently 75 percentile in both categories. He's growing well. 

He passed all his tests (eyes, hearing, blood pressure, etc) and got one immunization shot. He whined a little more than last year about getting that shot but didn't cry. Brave kid.

We still have to do his 5 year interview and will post that and his birthday party later. But, for now, happy 5th birthday to our big kid. We love you!
