Hola, Mexico
We spent a few fun days down in Mexico to attend Kristy and Bryan's wedding. Congrats, you guys!

This was T's first plane ride since we went to the Philippines back in December. He's grown a lot since then! Traveling with him as a "lap child" isn't easy anymore. It might be time to buy him his own seat.... Thankfully, though, he was still a good sport for the most part despite the nightmare of getting down to Cancun/Playa del Carmen. We had a connection in Dallas, which ended up being an overnight stay with a brief gas stop in Wichita Falls, TX, due to weather issues in Dallas. In any case, we got to to Mexico one day late and even got to check out the Atlanta airport - yay (not!)!
Enough about the traveling part, let's get to Mexico. Some things haven't changed since the last time we were somewhere tropical (Boracay) - T still loves the beach, ocean and pool. The kid has no fear. Here are some pics of T enjoying the beach.

And the pool.

T had so much fun that he would only take one nap while we were there (he is still on 2 naps a day) and would therefore have to pass out during all of the evening activities after he partied (this kid is going to be a party animal - I'm fearing it). Thankfully, he would sleep in our arms. Here are the photos to prove it.
Our partier at the rehearsal.

The next day at the wedding (Daddy got in a little nap too).

At our last dinner at a Mayan restaurant.

Something to look forward to - there should be a video made by Daddy in the near future. In the meantime, here are some random vacation photos.

Weekend with Daddy
On the weekend of April 29 - May 1, Mommmy went away on a girl's weekend to Denver with Aunties Em, Jeannie, Jen and Sarah. So, Daddy got to spend the whole weekend by himself with T. =) He had a little help from Tita Len and Tito Mickey, as well as Lola, but for the most part, Daddy got to spend quality time with Tyler from Friday evening until Mommy came home late Sunday afternoon.
Daddy had so much fun that he documented the whole weekend and made a video. Mommy should go away more often so the boys can play. =)

A Pillow and a Blanket
Because of the warnings about SIDS, once T outgrew the swaddle, he's slept without a blanket (or a pillow) since he never liked the sleep sacks. Every once in awhile I think that maybe he needs a pillow and a blanket. But, then, whenever I check on him sleeping, he is this way and that way. So, a pillow will probably be useless and a blanket would just get tangled. Here's a picture of him sleeping tonight to illustrate what I mean. And, if you are wondering, I did put him in his crib the long way (he is sleeping the short way). I guess we'll wait until he's out of the crib before giving him any bedding. Good night.

Photo Shoot with Lolo and Lola
For Christmas, we got Lolo and Lola a photo shoot with Tyler. They finally got to get it done yesterday. It was fun despite Tyler just getting over a cold and being a little clingy with Mommy (she had to leave the room for most of the shoot). Thankfully the place was well equipped for kids with a bubble machine and all sorts of toys and treats to distract him.
Here's a sneak peek. The final pictures will be available in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to see them and share them with you!

15 Month Check-up
T had his 15 month appointment today. Nothing new to report. He got a clean bill of health and is developing normally. He weighed in at 24 lbs 12 ozs (50 percentile) and 32.75 inches tall (75 percentile). He got 2 shots and cried, but only briefly. That's all there is to report. Here he is exploring the exam room.

The Tahoe Trip that Didn't Happen
We tried desperately to get to Tahoe this weekend for a trip that we had planned with the Rosen-zraicks, Minors, and Friedmans. Unfortunately, Tahoe was hit with the worst snow storm in 40 years and the road there was closed. So, despite staying the night in Auburn (a town closest to the entryway to Tahoe) for a night (where the hotel had a blackout when we checked in), and waiting for an opening in the storm to make the trek, the trip was a failure. But, we had as much fun as we could, hung out at the Minors in the East Bay, and are thankful that Tyler was a champ in the car.
Here's a video that Daddy made of our excursion. Hopefully, Tyler will get to play in the snow one of these days. He'll have so much fun when he does for sure!
