Photos of T and E Together

As much as we want to take pictures of our two kiddos together without any parental/adult interference, and we've gotten over the fear of T possibly hurting E, we're not quite confident in T's ability to assess his own physical stress just yet. We've been working on "gentle" and showing him how to hug and kiss E "gently" but he's a lover and his much more into bear hugs and huge smooches.

Anyhow, we did have sort of an opportunity to take pictures of them together and this is what we got.

One kid looking at the camera

Both kids checking out what's on the floor

T trying to help E keep her head up (or so we want to think)

And, we tried to take self family pictures and this is one that we got... not sure what T is up to...

Emma's Interacting

Little Emma B as we like to call her is starting to do much more than eat, sleep and poop. She's starting to be fascinated by the things around her and is quite the talker. Though, we have noticed she is very different from T at this age in that she is much more reserved and does not seem to like large crowds and loud noises.

Here's a video of E having a conversation with Anna (it's long, but she talks and laughs in it).

And here she is fascinated by Whozit. Every time I give her a toy when T is around he takes it away. This was a day when he wasn't around.

Oh, and I fear she's going to be an early mover like T. She's rolled over a few times from her tummy to back and has really good neck strength. Wish us luck.

Tyler's Magical Kiss

Ever since T was young, we've played a game where we pretend to be asleep and when T kisses us we wake up. For some reason he gets a huge kick out of this game.

Last night Mommy was trying to put him to bed in Lola's bed (Mommy and Daddy are off to Costa Rica today for Tito Jojo's 40th birthday celebration) and she was pretending to sleep hoping he'd go to sleep. Instead T tried to wake Mommy with his magical kiss. He made sure it was a big "muah.". Mommy ignored it. He tried again with a "MUAH.". Again, the magic didn't work. His next reaction was "UH OH.". It took serious restraint on Mommy's part to not crack up laughing.

He's a funny kid. :)

First Day at Peekadoodle Prep

Tyler went to his first Peekadoodle prep class today. It's a 3 hour session where the kids do arts and crafts, sing songs and play. He's going to be once a week on Fridays.

We got him a new monkey backpack that we gave him last night to prepare him for his big day. He was excited about his backpack and put his milk in it and carried it around.

Drop off is at 9am and Tyler woke up at 715am which seemed perfect. But when it came time to leave T wasn't really cooperating and we ended up being 10 minutes late.

The minute he stepped into the room he sensed he was going to be dropped off and started crying. More like bawling. It was heartbreaking for Mommy but she knew it was all a part of the growing up process.

3 hours later Mommy was there to pick him up. Mrs. Autumn, his teacher, was holding him and his eyes were a little wet but he seemed ok. Mrs. Autumn said he really enjoyed singing and playing in the gym. That's our kid.

We hung out at Peekadoodle a little longer after class and he brought me over to his class room and was happy to see Mrs. Autumn again so I think he's going to do just fine.

Tomorrow Tyler turns 2. Wow.
