Trick or Treat

Tyler's first "real" trick or treating experience. We went a block away - apparently it is the main trick or treating street around here. It was packed, but not crazy like last year at Fair Oaks. Last year T was a little too young to really get the idea of getting treats. This year he fully participated and even braved some scary costumes (at one house he was frozen on the steps stating at a gorilla). William, who joined us, even got scared by someone jumping out of a tree. At the end of the night though, both fire chiefs were happy.

Walkin'

She's gone and done it - she's taking steps now.  And she's loving it.  If you believe that milestones = sleep problems, it explains why she's been fighting her afternoon naps these past couple of days.  She just wants to get her move on.

Language

Tyler is talking up a storm now. It's not always easy to understand what he is saying, but he definitely knows what he's saying. One of my favorite phrases he says is, "No thank you, please." What a polite kid. :)

And he can read! Well, sort of. :). He seems to have some words memorized. The other day the computer showed a prompt and he asked me whether I wanted "yes" or "no." I told him "yes" and he moved the cursor, using the mouse, to "yes" and selected it. Not bad.

Emma is starting to say things, too. It's not totally clear what she is saying, but we think she says, "hi," "bye," "there," and "ball." She'll be talking before we know it too.

Cousins

First cousin photo. It was impossible to get everyone to look at the camera together.
