Tyler and Lucas

Despite being in the Bay Area, the last time I saw my friend Cathy (whom I have known since 6th or 7th grade?) and her son Lucas might have been at his 1st birthday party. He is now 3 (6 months younger than T).

Thanks to Richard being in town (another friend from Singapore who I've known since before Cathy) and sharing his whereabouts on Facebook, we were able to get together for a couple of hours down in Palo Alto.

Tyler and Lucas enjoyed each others company. We definitely have to make sure we see them again much sooner than 2 years from now.

A Night with Anna

Now that the kids are in school 5 days a week, we decided to ask Anna to come and sit for us one night a week so that we can have a date night. So far we have only had 2 nights off but it's been great. We love the kids but sometimes we need a break.

The kids seem to love the time they get to spend with Anna as well. Here are some pics that she has shared from the past 2 occasions.

Emma Stylin'

Here's a picture of Emma in T's car seat with sunglasses and purse. She gets to sit in his seat after we drop him off at school and on the way to her school.

On the way to school T said it was too bright and asked for his glasses. Of course, Emma wanted hers too. She had already brought the purse from home. She is such a girl.

T at School

T just finished his second full week of school. He loves it. Even though I have no problem getting him to leave when I pick him up, he always has a big smile and says he had so much fun. He doesn't seem to know anyone's names but he does say he has friends and as long as he is happy, we are happy.

Here's a picture of him practicing his cutting skills. It's on a poster that the teachers have up in the classroom. He's a good student. :)

Smooth Guy

Check out the arm :)

It was like they were a couple. They'd turn to each other and talk about something, smile, and go back to playing on the phone. Super cute.

Sunday Funday

We had a fun, family day in San Mateo today. First, we checked out Central Park. It had a nice playground and a little train.

There's also a small Japanese garden with a koi pond. The kids liked the koi, especially Emma.

We then walked over to Talbots to play with toys, test out bicycles, and buy Emma a helmet. Emma loved the little doll house. She thought she was a doll. (See other post for video).

After spending some time at Talbots (we walked away with just the helmet - amazing), we had lunch at a nice, Mediterranean restaurant.

I was pretty impressed with all that downtown San Mateo has to offer. It was a nice, relaxing Sunday morning.
