Today, T went to his first drop off class. That's where he goes to a class all by himself - without a parent. Our little guy is all grown up. The class is at Peekadoodle and called "Mini Incredible Athletics." It lasts an hour and a half long and the kids spend the first half doing arts and crafts and the second half doing athletic stuff.
At first, when Mommy dropped T off, he seemed like he was going to be ok. Mommy gave him a big smile and a wave bye and he waved back but, instead of a smile, he gave a look of confusion. Mommy gave him another big smile and a wave bye to make sure he knew she was leaving and again, he waved back with the same look. Mommy figured he'd be ok since he's in the class with the Posse, but once that door closed, he lost it and apparently started crying for Mommy. =(
After the hour and a half, Mommy was there to pick him up with open arms and he ran to her with a big smile. Apparently, the assistant teacher had to stand by the door in the beginning to make sure T didn't escape, but once they got to the athletics part of the program, "he lit up and was a totally different kid" according to the teacher.
Hopefully he will get used to these drop off classes. On Friday, he has his first day of Peekadoodle Prep. That's a 3 hour pre-school prep class. He'll be there with his buddy William so at least he'll have a familiar face there.
Unfortunately, Mommy forgot to take a picture of him today. But, she won't forgot on Friday. Wish us luck!
